Undoubtedly, the youth in particular are very fond of snacks or better known as 'Fast Food' or 'junk food'.
Have you ever wondered why it is so named? The term 'junk' itself actually means 'surplus' and 'useless'.



In fact, snacks such as crisps, potato chips, candy and other snacks that are packed in plastic is not good for health especially at  young ages.

Indeed, these snacks are actually giving addiction in adolescents because it tastes good, easily available and cheap. But the reality is, most of these products do not provide any nutritional benefits and also important for the body.

Continuous intake of these foods can affect your health and also prevent you to reach your goals in your daily diet. It is believed that  this product is addictive but if you look at the impact on health, think again.

Tired Body - Although snacks and fast food can make you feel full, but these products lack the necessary nutrients such as protein and carbohydrates that serve to make your body energized and healthy. If you take this product every time you are humgry, you may be tired. These foods reduce the energy in the body and at one stage prevents you perform daily tasks efficiently.

Depression - adolescent growth phase causing our body to experience a lot of hormonal changes. For example, they are susceptible to changes in mood and behavior. Balanced diet plays an important role in stabilizing the hormonal changes. Because of the lack of nutrients in junk food, chances are teenagers suffer from depression will increase 58 percent.

Worse Digestion - Teenagers who are addicted fatty snacks will face digestive problems such as irritable bowel syndrome disease. This is due mostly fried snacks and oil contained in the product is assembled in the stomach causing 'acidity'. This led to the erosion of the lining of the stomach because the content is too spicy and lack of fiber is important for proper digestion.

Instability In Blood Sugar Levels - Snacks high in sugar which actually cause your metabolism at the level of danger. Sugar causes the pancreas to secrete more insulin to avoid the drastic increase in blood sugar levels. Because of snacks do not have enough nutrients, blood sugar levels will drop suddenly after eating. It makes you irritable and increase your addiction to junk food.

Harm The Heart - These sugary products increase cholesterol levels of the main factors that contribute to heart disease. In addition, the fat stored in the body causing you to be fatter. More weight is increased, the higher the risk of heart disease.

The risk of Kidney Disease - Believe it or not, fries and chips commonly found in franchise restaurants contain a high amount of salt works to increase the secretion of saliva and enzymes that boost your addiction. The high content of fat is not good and sodium from salt increases blood pressure and affect kidney function.


Prevent Diet Balanced - Addicted to junk food can prevent you make a balanced diet. Effective diet requires the intake of foods high in protein and carbohydrates, but high in sugar can disturb your diet.
